The Act defines "personal information" as data pertaining to an identifiable, living, natural person and, when appropriate, an identifiable, legally recognised individual. The following information is also included by SP24 Security Services as personal information in addition to the POPI Act:

• Every address, including home, mailing, and email addresses.
• Change of name: In this case, we need copies of the marriage certificate or the state department's official change of name paperwork.
